The ACORN QLD Management Committee has identified the need for the ACORN QLD to review its governance arrangements as part of its ongoing evolution. The Constitution is the foundation of all not-for-profit organisations and, for ACORN QLD, it is important that it meets good governance principles, while recognising our history and providing the foundations for the future.
ACORN QLD has engaged Associations Forum to work with us to update our Constitution. The first stage of this process is now complete, with the preparation of a Discussion Paper which outlines the proposed changes and principles that will be included in the updated Constitution.
Input from our Member’s is important to ACORN QLD. All members are encouraged to review the Discussion Paper and provide feedback. The deadline to provide feedback is 5pm AEST, Monday 11th June 2018. Beyond this initial feedback, further opportunities to engage in this process will be available to members. Members will also have opportunity to discuss with President Emma Babao at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Education Day on Saturday 16th June.
